14-year-old student dies of heart attack, during school hours in Jaipur
Jaipur, December 25: A heartbreaking incident unfolded at a private school in Jaipur, where a 14-year-old boy, Yogesh Singh, studying in Class 9, succumbed to a suspected cardiac arrest outside his classroom in Kardhani.
According to Head-Constable Manoj Kumar of the Kardhani police station, the tragic event occurred around 8:30 am on December 19, as Singh collapsed while heading to his classroom, collapsing in front of his teacher. The school administration acted swiftly, rushing Singh to a nearby hospital, subsequently referring him to SMS Hospital. Despite immediate medical attention, he couldn't be revived, and his body was handed over to the family following post-mortem procedures. No foul play was suspected in this tragic incident.
Medical experts are treating the cause of death as a suspected cardiac arrest, pending further examination of samples taken from Singh's body. Describing the heart-wrenching moment, school official Vinod mentioned that Singh was dropped off by his elder brother at the school. "He was entering his classroom when the unfortunate incident occurred. While some students were already present, others were still arriving. Singh collapsed at the gate of the classroom, right in front of the teacher," she recounted.
The authorities immediately rushed him to medical care, but despite their earnest efforts, Singh could not be saved.
Upon being alerted, the police swiftly responded to the scene. So far, no suspicions have been raised by the family, affirming that proper medical procedures were duly followed. The police officials clarified that it is yet unconfirmed whether the student had any pre-existing medical conditions.
