5 Delhi schools among 20 disaffiliated by CBSE over malpractices
New Delhi, March 23: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken decisive measures against schools found engaging in malpractices, disaffiliating 20 institutions and downgrading three nationwide. As per information, surprise inspections revealed breaches in affiliation and examination protocols. Among the affected schools, five are located in Delhi, with others spread across Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Jammu and Kashmir, Dehradun, Assam, and Madhya Pradesh. Schools in Delhi, Punjab, and Assam also saw affiliation downgrades.
The CBSE notification stated, "Following surprise inspections conducted in CBSE schools nationwide to ensure compliance with affiliation and examination bye-laws, it was discovered that certain schools were involved in various malpractices, including presenting dummy students, admitting ineligible candidates, and failing to maintain proper records. After thorough investigation, the decision was made to disaffiliate and downgrade the following schools."
