Avalanche warning in 12 J-K districts, people advised to remain alert
Jammu and Kashmir, February 9: For the next 24 hours, the Jammu and Kashmir State Disaster Management Authority issued an avalanche warning for 12 districts, including Anantnag, Baramulla, Ganderbal, Doda, Rajouri, and Poonch.
A'medium danger' level avalanche is expected to occur above 2,000 to 2,500 metres over Anantnag, Bandipore, Baramulla, Ganderbal, Kupwara, Kulgam, Doda, Kishtwar, and Poonch districts, according to the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA).

While an avalanche with a 'low danger' level is likely to occur above 2,000 to 2,500 metres in the next 24 hours over Reasi, Rajouri, and Ramban districts.
People living in these areas are advised to take precautions and avoid venturing into avalanche-prone areas for their own safety, according to the SDMA.
