Ram Lalla idol to be known as ‘Balak Ram:' After the auspicious, momentous and spiritually profound occasion of the Pratishtha ceremony and unveiling of the iconic and significant Ram Lalla idol at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, Arun Dixit, a priest associated with the consecration ceremony said on Tuesday that the new Ram Lalla idol crafted by Mysuru-based sculptor Arun Yogiraj will be known as "Balak Ram."
The iconic, significant and remarkable Ram Lalla idol carved out of special black granite that dates back an astonishing 2.5 billion years will be known as "Balak Ram" because the idol depicts the deity as a five-year-old Ram in a standing posture.

The another reason for naming the beautiful idol of Lord Ram as "Balak Ram" because the idol resembles a five-year-old child.
While speaking to media, Arun Dixit, a priest associated with the consecration ceremony said, "The first time I saw the idol, I was thrilled and tears started rolling down my face. I cannot explain the feeling I experienced then.
Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the rituals of the "Pran Pratishtha" ceremony at the "historic" Ram temple in Ayodhya on Monday after which the Ram Lalla idol was unveiled at the Shri Ram Janmaboomi Temple.

After the "Pran Pratishtha" ceremony, PM Modi performed the 'aarti' of the Ram Lalla idol at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya.
The Prime Minister after that performed 'parikrama' of the deity and did 'dandvat pranam'. This act of devotion, characterized by prostrating fully with one's forehead touching the ground, is a mark of utmost reverence and humility in Hindu tradition.
