Baba Siddique murder: Mumbai Police make fresh arrest, nab 4th accused in UP's Bahraich
Baba Siddique murder: The Mumbai Crime Branch arrested the fourth accused in the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique on Tuesday.
The accused has been identified as 23-year-old Harishkumar Balakra. He was arrested in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, for allegedly giving money and coordinating logistics for the murder.
The Mumbai Crime Branch announced on Tuesday that Harishkumar Balakram (23), a resident of Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, had been apprehended in connection with Baba Siddiqui's murder.
According to the authorities, Balakram worked as a scrap dealer in Pune and was involved in the scheme to murder Baba Siddique.
"He worked as a scrap dealer in Pune. He was a member of the conspiracy, providing money and other logistics. More investigation is underway," it stated.
Two of the three accused, Dharmaraj and Shivprasad Gautam, previously worked in Balakram's scrap shop.
Harish had got new mobile phones for Shivprasad and Dharmaraj prior to the crime.
According to investigators, the fourth accused was well aware of the crime.
Police had earlier arrested Gurmail Baljit Singh, 23, of Haryana, and Dharmaraj Rajesh Kashyap, 19, of Uttar Pradesh, for the murder of Siddique. Shivprasad, the third shooter, is currently on the run.
"Co-conspirator" Pravin Lonkar was also arrested. His brother, Shubham Lonkar, who posted the social media post saying that the Lawrance Bishnoi gang was responsible for the murder, is also missing.
