Dal Lake fire incident: Hours after several houseboats were gutted after a massive fire broke out on a houseboat in Dal Lake on the outskirts of Srinagar district in Jammu and Kashmir, three Bangladeshi tourists killed in a houseboat fire in Dal Lake in Srinagar.
The bodies of three tourists were found after fire on houseboats on lake was reduced to ashes.
According to the reports, the three Bangladeshi tourists were staying at the Safeena houseboat and Srinagar police is continuously making an effort to identify the victims.
The tragic incident unfolded in Friday late night when massive fire broke out at a houseboat near Ghat number 9 of Dal Lake quickly spread and engulfed several others and also resulted in a total loss estimated at over 40 crores.
As per initial reports, at least six houseboats have been damaged due to the fire. The reason of massive fire is yet to be known.
