Delhi police arrest 'spy' with links to foreign nuke scientists, had travelled to Pakistan
PTC Web Desk: In a major crackdown on an alleged international espionage network, the Delhi Police have arrested a 59-year-old man accused of running a fake passport and spying racket with suspected links to foreign contacts, including overseas nuclear scientists. The accused has been identified as Mohammad Adil Hussaini, who also went by several aliases, Syed Adil Hussain, Nasimuddin, and Syed Adil Hussaini.
Investigators revealed that Hussaini had frequently travelled abroad, including to Pakistan, and maintained contact with people linked to sensitive scientific fields.
Police sources said Hussaini was suspected of transferring classified or sensitive information to foreign operatives. However, officials refrained from confirming his alleged association with nuclear experts, citing that the matter remains under detailed investigation.
During interrogation, Hussaini reportedly confessed to procuring nuclear-related blueprints from a Russian scientist and selling them to another contact based in Iran. Authorities claim that he made significant profits from these transactions, which he allegedly used to purchase property in Dubai and fund an extravagant lifestyle.
Investigators are now probing his travel history, digital communications, and financial records to uncover the full extent of his international network and possible security breaches.
