PTC News Desk: Six members of a family died in a tragic fire that broke out late Wednesday night in Talagna village, under the Ghanduri Patwar Circle of Nohradhar tehsil in Sirmaur district.

The blaze started around 2 am at the home of Mohan Singh. Seven people were sleeping inside when the fire spread quickly, trapping them. Only one person survived, while six others were burned to death.

The victims were identified as Naresh from Taproli (Rajgarh), his wife Tripta, Kavita from Kumda village (Chaupal), and their three children — Sarika, Kritika, and Kritic. They had all come to Mohan Singh’s house as guests. The fire was so intense that identifying the bodies was very difficult.

Lokender (42), Kavita’s husband, was the only survivor. Villagers managed to pull him out in critical condition, and he was taken to a hospital in Solan, where his condition remains serious.

Police and district officials reached the spot soon after to begin rescue and relief efforts. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
