FIR filed against woman accusing Ravi Kishan of paternity, alleges extortion and conspiracy

PTC News Desk: In a significant development, an FIR has been lodged in Lucknow against six individuals, including a woman who claimed that Ravi Kishan Shukla, the BJP's Gorakhpur MP, is the father of her daughter. The complaint was filed late on Tuesday night at the Hazratganj police station by Ravi Kishan's wife, Preeti Shukla.

The FIR lists Aparna Thakur, along with her husband Rajesh Soni, daughter Shenova Soni, son Sonak Soni, Samajwadi Party leader Vivek Kumar Pandey, and journalist Khurshid Khan as the accused. They are charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including conspiracy, giving false evidence, extortion by intimidation, extortion by threat, intentional insult, and criminal intimidation.

According to the complaint, Aparna Thakur, also known as Aparna Soni, allegedly threatened Preeti Shukla, claiming connections with the underworld. She purportedly demanded a ransom of Rs 20 crore and warned that failure to comply would result in implicating Ravi Kishan in a false rape case, thus tarnishing his image.

Additionally, it is alleged that despite a complaint lodged with the Mumbai Police regarding the matter, Aparna conducted a press conference in Lucknow on April 15, where she made false accusations.

The FIR further implicates the named individuals in the conspiracy. Notably, Ravi Kishan, a renowned Bhojpuri film star, has been renominated by the BJP to contest from Gorakhpur in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, a seat he has held since the 2019 elections.
