Former MLA Navjot Kaur Sidhu accuses ex PA, NRI for duping her of Rs 2 crore
PTC News Desk: Former MLA Navjot Kaur Sidhu has levelled serious allegations against her former ex-assistance along with US-based NRI for duping her of allegedly duping her of more than Rs 2 crore on the pretext of registration of an SCO in Ranjit Avenue in her favour.
Dr. Navjot Kaur Sidhu has alleged that America-based NRI Angad Pal Singh, along with his maternal uncles Mangal Singh and Sukhwinder Singh, cheated her. Apart from this, his former personal assistant Gaurav and his associate Jagjit Singh also played an important role in this fraud.
The case has been forwarded to the Economic Offences Wing and investigation is underway.
Angad Pal Singh had proposed to sell SCO No. 10 located at Ranjit Avenue. For this an agreement was reached between the two parties. Dr. Sidhu's representative Sushil Rawat and Angad Pal Singh's Vishal Kaur also signed this agreement.
Navjot Kaur Sidhu said that she had transfered Rs 1.2 cr in Angad Pal Singh's account and alleged that she had made multiple payments to him through her PA Gaurav. She further added that even after multiple requests to Angad, he di not get the sale deed registered in her favour and kept making excuses.
Angad Pal Singh repeatedly assured that the property would soon be registered in her name. But when Dr. Sidhu pressed for document registration, the accused started making excuses. The accused temporarily granted power of attorney of the property in the name of Sidhu's daughter in February 2023.
She said she had learnt that the cheques she gave to Gaurav and Jagjit were encashed and the money was shared by them with Ravinder and Mangal.
