G20 Summit in Delhi: Music and warm 'Namaste' greetings mark delegates' welcome to India
G20 Delegates: New Delhi has taken extraordinary measures to ensure a seamless G20 Summit scheduled for September 9 and 10. The national capital has rolled out stringent traffic regulations, closed schools, deployed fighter jets for security, adorned the city with murals, and implemented a range of security measures to host the global event successfully.
Traffic Regulations: Stringent traffic regulations have been enforced in New Delhi from 5 am, and they will remain in effect until 11.59 pm on Sunday. Ambulances, medical services, and essential service personnel are exempt from these restrictions.

Local Movement: Locals and tourists are allowed to move within their designated areas but are discouraged from visiting popular locations like India Gate and Kartavya Path for recreational activities.
Closures: To ease traffic congestion, schools, banks, and government offices will remain closed during the Summit. Borders to neighboring states will also be sealed.
Security Deployment: Over 100,000 police and security personnel will patrol the streets, backed by fighter jets, advanced AI-based cameras, jamming devices, and sniffer dogs.
Surveillance: The Delhi Police will closely monitor Summit developments from their state-of-the-art control room, utilizing a network of 5,000 CCTV cameras installed across the city.
Global Leaders: The G20 Summit will convene leaders from major economies worldwide to discuss critical issues such as climate change and poverty alleviation.
Bilateral Talks: US President Joe Biden is set to arrive in New Delhi and engage in bilateral discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of the Summit.
Key Agenda Items: The Summit agenda may encompass discussions on Ukraine, critical and emerging technology, and previously announced deals involving General Atomics drones and General Electric jet engines.
Xi Jinping's Absence: Chinese President Xi Jinping's absence at the G20 meeting occurs amid heightened trade and geopolitical tensions with the US and India.

US Engagement: President Biden aims to demonstrate that the US remains a valuable partner on global issues compared to China or Russia and underscores the importance of the G20 as a vital forum for international cooperation.
India's preparations, with a blend of tradition and state-of-the-art security, reflect its commitment to hosting a successful and secure G20 Summit.
