40-year-old Ghaziabad psychiatrist dies by suicide, family cites depression after divorce
PTC News Desk: A 40-year-old psychiatrist allegedly died by suicide after jumping from the fifth floor of her apartment in a residential society in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad, police said. No suicide note was recovered from the spot.
She was immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
The deceased has been identified as Dr Himika Agrawal, daughter of Dr Rakesh Chander (R) Agrawal, who was residing on the fifth floor of Officers City-2 Society.

The family of the victim has alleged that she was battling depression since her divorce around one-and-a half years ago. Adding further they said, that the separation had taken a severe toll on her mental health and had been under significant emotional stress since.
Police said the were investigating the case from all facets and statements of family members are being recorded. Evidence from the scene was also being reviewed as part of the probe.
Police further said that the body was sent for post-mortem examination and further action will be taken based on its findings.
