Gurugram techie's death in Mussoorie: Mystery has deepened in the death case of a 27-year-old Gurugram techie, whose body was found at a homestay in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, recently. According to the police, her body was discovered lying on the floor in an unresponsive state, soaked in urine, while bloodstains were found on the bedsheet inside the room. The incident occurred while she was vacationing with her husband to celebrate his birthday.

P Radha Gayatri, a resident of Shakarpur in East Delhi, was working with an information technology firm in Gurugram. Her husband, Soumya Sricharan, is employed with a company in Pune. The couple had married on November 8, 2025. Both families originally belong to Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.

According to investigators, the couple had travelled to Uttarakhand for a short vacation. They reportedly visited Rishikesh before arriving at a homestay in Mussoorie's Tipridhar area late on the night of June 14.

The police said the couple checked into the property around 11.30 pm. They allegedly consumed alcohol in their room and went to sleep in the early hours of the morning.

The next morning, Sricharan reportedly woke up and found his wife unresponsive. He noticed blood coming from her mouth and that urine had been discharged from her body. He immediately alerted authorities and sought medical assistance.

A police team and an ambulance reached the homestay. After examining the woman, medical personnel declared her dead at the scene.

When officers inspected the room, they found Gayatri lying on the floor without clothes. Bloodstains were present on the bedsheet, while two empty liquor bottles and food items were also recovered from the room.

A forensic team later visited the homestay and collected evidence from the scene for further examination.

The woman's father, P Sudhakar, has lodged a complaint seeking a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding his daughter's death.

Both the husband's and wife's family members reached the homestay after the incident. Following legal formalities, the body was sent for post-mortem examination.

A videographed autopsy was conducted at Coronation Hospital in Dehradun on June 16. Officials said samples have been preserved for scientific analysis to determine the exact cause of death.

According to police, the preliminary post-mortem findings did not reveal any external injury marks on the body. Investigators are awaiting detailed forensic and laboratory reports before drawing any conclusions.

The police have stated that all possible angles are being examined. Authorities said the final cause of death will be established only after the forensic findings and viscera examination reports are received.
