HUDA refund scam: ED raids 18 locations in north India states in money laundering investigation
HUDA refund scam: Enforcement Directorate raided several locations in north India states in a money laundering investigation revolving around the then HUDA (Haryana Urban Development Authority) refund scam.
The raids were conducted at 18 locations in Mohali, Panchkula, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh.
As per the sources, the investigation is related to a case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), focusing on an alleged fraudulent refund scheme amounting to Rs 70 crore within the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA).
HUDA is now called Haryana Shahkari Vikas Pradhikaran .
The role of at least six officials of the HUDA is under scanner of ED.
