Patiala: Mother allegedly kills 18-month-old daughter with knife, arrested
Patiala child murder case: A shocking incident has come to light from Patiala district, where an 18-month-old girl was allegedly killed by her mother using a knife.
According to officials of Pasiana police station, the child’s father approached the police and lodged a complaint alleging that his wife had murdered their daughter with a sharp-edged weapon. Following the complaint, the police registered a case and initiated an investigation.
SHO Gurpreet Singh Handa of Pasiana police station said preliminary investigation revealed that the accused woman was reportedly suffering from depression. The woman belongs to Kherki village in Patiala district.
Based on the father’s statement, the police have arrested the accused woman and further investigation into the matter is underway.
