JN.1 subvariant cases surge: India reports 300 fresh Covid-19 cases, three deaths in Kerala
JN.1 subvariant cases surge: Amid the emergence of the JN.1 coronavirus sub-variant, Kerala reported 300 new active cases of Covid-19 and 3 deaths on December 20, as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The total number of active cases of Covid-19 in the country stood at 2,669.
India on Thursday witnessed an uptick in Covid-19 cases, with 358 fresh infections recorded in the past 24 hours, with total number of cases reaching to 21 cases from across the country.
Symptoms associated with the JN.1 sub-variant include mild fever, cough, nasal discomfort, sore throat, runny nose, facial pressure, headaches, and gastrointestinal issues. Experts underscore the need for proactive measures against the transmissible JN.1 variant, highlighting the importance of preventive strategies to mitigate its spread.
