Indian Army had released ‘Ready to Strike’ video ahead of 'Operation Sindoor'

Operation Sindoor: As Indian forces carried out precision strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK), the Indian Army released a video showcasing military drills to underline its combat readiness. The one-minute video, titled “Ready to strike, trained to win,” displayed coordinated military operations, including tank fire and missile launches from fighter jets across varied terrains.

The video appeared to serve as a morale booster ahead of Operation Sindoor, India’s multi-pronged offensive targeting nine terror sites. The strikes were launched in response to the deadly April 22 Pahalgam Terror Attack, which claimed the lives of 25 tourists and one local resident — marking one of the worst attacks in Kashmir in recent years.

According to sources, the joint operation by the Indian Army and Air Force utilised precision-guided munitions to target key terror hubs. These included locations in Bhawalpur, Punjab province — known as the stronghold of Jaish-e-Mohammad — as well as camps in Kotli, Muridke (the headquarters of Lashkar-e-Taiba), and Muzaffarabad.

The strikes focused on terror infrastructure used to plan and orchestrate attacks against India. The government, in an official statement, clarified that no Pakistani military installations were hit.

“Our actions have been focused, measured, and non-escalatory. No Pakistani military facilities were targeted. India has exercised significant restraint in both target selection and execution,” the statement said.

In reaction to the strikes, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the operation, calling it an “act of war” and warning of a strong retaliatory response.

“Pakistan has every right to respond forcefully to this act of war imposed by India, and an appropriate response is underway,” Sharif said.

Subsequently, the Pakistani army initiated artillery shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch-Rajouri sector. Indian forces, the Army confirmed, are “responding appropriately in a calibrated manner.”

Meanwhile, heightened security measures have been enforced across Punjab, where the authorities have ordered the closure of schools in border districts for the next 72 hours as a precautionary measure.
