Kanwar Yatra in Delhi Metro: The 'Kanwar Yatra' is an annual pilgrimage for Lord Shiva's devotees that began on July 4 and marked the beginning of the holy month of Sawan. The yatra is a significant religious event for Shiva devotees, particularly in North India.
Though the strict rules and regulations have been imposed on Kanwariyas on DJ and loud music, however a viral video doing rounds on Internet show a group of Kanwariyas playing loud music, dancing and chanting ‘Bhole Nath’ in Delhi Metro.

The 13-second viral video recorded by group of Kanwariyas themselves showcases that how a group of boys celebrating Kanwar Yatra in Delhi Metro by playing loud music, taking selfies even as the few passengers present in the metro are seated.

The video of Kanwariyas from Delhi Metro became a controversial video and this is how netizens reacted to it.
A user while sharing the viral video wrote, "kanwariyas were creating ruckus and that they could disturb anyone in the name of religion whereas everyone's sentiments were hurt when a Muslim man had offered namaz prayers near the gate outside Delhi Metro station".
Another user called the whole incident as "show off"
A journalist also took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “Now it's Kanwariya's dance in Delhi Metro.”

While some made fun of the video, other questioned the video.
The 'Kanwar Yatra' is an annual pilgrimage for Lord Shiva's devotees. The Kanwariyas visit places like Haridwar, Gaumukh and Gangotri in Uttarakhand and Sultanganj in Bihar to fetch the holy water of River Ganga and then worship the God with the same water.

• Kanwariyas are requested not to make 'kanwars' higher than 12 feet to avoid accidents.
• Motorcycles should be without silencers
• Weapons or sticks, trishul, spears are not allowed.
• Music or DJ is not banned but volume should be controlled.
• Ban on sale and purchase of meat or chicken.
