PTC News Desk: A civilian employee posted at the Naval Headquarters in Delhi was arrested by Rajasthan Police's intelligence wing for allegedly leaking classified information to Pakistani intelligence handler.

The accused has been identified as Vishal Yadav, an Upper Division Clerk (UDC) and resident of Punsika, Rewari (Haryana), was caught by the police under the Official Secrets Act, 1923.

His arrest comes after prolonged surveillance by CID Intelligence Rajasthan which had been closely monitoring Vishal's activity over credible input indicating his involvment in espionage activities.

Inspector General of Police (CID Security) Vishnukant Gupta revealed that Yadav was working in the Directorate of Dockyard and had been in regular contact via social media with a Pakistani female handler, using the alias Priya Sharma. She allegedly lured him with money in exchange for critical strategic information from naval operations.

Investigations revealed that Yadav was addicted to online gaming and had started leaking classified information to address his financial troubles. Funds were transferred to his cryptocurrency wallet (in USDT) and bank accounts, highlighting concerns about the role of digital currencies in espionage activities.

Police stated that a forensic examination of his mobile phone uncovered incriminating evidence, including chat logs and documents indicating that Yadav had earlier leaked sensitive naval intelligence during Operation Sindoor. This points to his prolonged involvement in espionage.
