'No more mistakes': CM Yogi Adityanath issues stern directives to officials ahead of 'Amrit Snan'
PTC News Desk: Ahead of 'Amrit Snan' on Monday on the occasion of Basant Panchmi, Uttar Pradesh chief minister yogi Adityanath has issued stern directives to the officials explicitly stating that there should be no room left for any errors.
During a review meeting in Prayagraj on Saturday, he said the traditional 'shobha yatra' of 'akharas' should be conducted with grandeur and all necessary preparations completed on time, according to a statement. The chief minister also asserted that security and safety of the devotees must be ensure and should be prioritised.
He also directed officials to ensure as much parking space as possible and ensure that devotees had to walk as less as possible.
Senior police officers should be assigned to manage traffic at key locations, he said.
Adityanath stressed that Sunday and Monday would be critical and said no VIP protocol would be in place before, during or after major bathing days.
The direction follows multiple of stampede that rocked Maha Kumbh which one of the largest religious congregation. A t least 30 people were killed and dozens injured during the stampede.
