Panjab University Students' Council polls schedule announced: Voting on August 31
PTC News Desk: Panjab University on Thursday announced schedule for Students' Council elections.
The Panjab University Campus Students' Council elections will be held on August 31 and the results will be announced on the same day.
As per the schedule announced, the filing of nominations will begin on August 24 from 9.30 am to 10.30 am, followed by scrutiny from 10.35 am. The list of candidates will be displayed on the notice board of the concerned department at noon, while objections can be filed between 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm.
Meanwhile, the candidates will be allowed to submit the objections to the Dean Student Welfare (DSW) office by 2.30 pm. The list of approved candidates will be displayed on August 25 at 10 am, followed by the withdrawal of nominations from 10.30 am to noon.
Earlier the university had proposed holding elections in the first week of September, it was rejected citing unavailability of police personnel.
Later August 31 was proposed for holding the elections, which was approved by the UT administration.
