PM Modi in Kashmir: In first visit of 3rd term, Prime Minister to launch various projects in UT; know full schedule
PM Modi in Kashmir: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled for a 2-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.
Prime Minister will lay the foundation and inaugurate 84 major development projects worth more than Rs 1,500 crore in the Union Territory. The inaugurations will include projects such as road infrastructure, water supply schemes, and higher education infrastructure, among others.
In addition, the Prime Minister will lay the groundwork for projects such as improving the Chenani-Patnitop-Nashri section, developing industrial estates, and construction of six government-run degree colleges.
PM Modi will also launch a Rs 1,800 crore project called Competitiveness Improvement in Agriculture and Allied Sectors (JKCIP). The project will be implemented in 90 blocks across 20 districts in Jammu and Kashmir, with a total project outreach of 300,000 households and 15 lakh beneficiaries.
Today, around 6 p.m., the Prime Minister will attend the 'Empowering Youth, Transforming J&K' event at Srinagar's Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC).
The programme symbolises a watershed moment for the region, highlighting progress and inspiring young achievers.
The Prime Minister will inspect stalls and interact with Jammu and Kashmir's young achievers.
The Prime Minister will also distribute appointment letters to over 2000 people appointed in government service.
The Prime Minister will also lead the celebrations for the 10th International Day of Yoga on June 21 at the SKICC, Srinagar.
