Relief For Siddaramaiah: High court refuses CBI probe in Muda scam involving Karnataka Chief Minister

PTC News Desk: In a major relief for Siddaramaiah, Karnataka High Court on Friday has refused CBI probe in MUDA scam case. The court dismissed a writ petition filed by RTI activist

“Insulation of Lokayukta from external influence is already recognised by Supreme Court and High Court. There is no malady to direct CBI to investigate instead. CBI investigation is not a solution to the projected ills in the petition,” the High Court said in its order.

Following court's order, the case will now be investigated by Lokayukta. The verdict also provides relief to Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah who was booked for his alleged involvement in the case with multiple allegations of irregularities against him specifically regarding the illegal allocation of 14 sites to his wife Parvati BM, by the development authority.

The petitioner has now warned against approaching the Supreme Court against the High Court order asking for CBI investigation.
