South Delhi gym owner stabbed to death by father hours before wedding

New Delhi, March 8: In a shocking turn of events, the joyous atmosphere surrounding the wedding of Gaurav Singhal (29), the owner of Fit Box gym in South Delhi, transformed into a tragic scene as he was brutally stabbed to death allegedly by his father in Devli Extension. Accused Rangalal has been arrested by the police. Rangalal told the police that he killed his son Gaurav in anger as he would insult him daily.

Tragically, the gruesome killing occurred just hours before Gaurav Singhal was set to tie a knot and guests were waiting for him for wedding procession with loud music resonating in the area.  Gaurav was, however, absent from the festivities.

A frantic search started, leading the concerned guests to the body of Gaurav lying in Raju Park. He had 15 stab wounds on his face and chest. Deputy Commissioner of Police (South Delhi) Ankit Chauhan said Gaurav was declared dead upon arrival at a nearby hospital.

The arrest of Rangalal, who had gone missing after the heinous act, came as a surprise to the victim's relatives, who had initially dismissed any suspicions of foul play within the family. The unexpected turn of events has left the community in shock and mourning, turning what should have been a day of celebration into one marked by sorrow and tragedy.
