PTC News Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to headline the "Startup Mahakumbh" event at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi today. This three-day government-led initiative aims to fortify the startup ecosystem and entice investments into the sector.

Kicking off on March 18 and reaching its culmination today, the event is a collaborative effort involving prominent industry associations such as the Bootstrap Incubation & Advisory Foundation and the Indian Venture and Alternate Capital Association (IVCA). The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has extended its support to the Startup Mahakumbh.


With a focus on fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, the event serves as a platform for budding entrepreneurs to showcase their ventures and engage with potential investors. Prime Minister Modi's presence underscores the government's commitment to nurturing the startup ecosystem and promoting economic growth through innovation.

Exploring the essence of 'startup mahakumbh'

1. Described as India's largest startup event by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, 'Startup Mahakumbh' witnessed unprecedented participation, emerging as a dynamic platform for all stakeholders within the country's vibrant startup ecosystem. The ministry underscored its significance in propelling growth across burgeoning sectors such as DeepTech, AgriTech, BioTech, MedTech, AI, and Gaming.

2. The event, designed to cultivate innovation and entrepreneurship nationwide, garnered substantial interest from leading investors, innovators, and budding entrepreneurs alike. Boasting a staggering attendance of over 2000 startups, 1000 investors, 100 unicorns, 300 incubators & accelerators, 3,000 conference delegates, 10 country delegations, 3000 future entrepreneurs, and 50,000 business visitors, it provided a vibrant setting for collaboration and networking, as highlighted in the ministry's statement.

5. A dedicated exhibition zone provided promising startups with a platform to showcase their innovative products and services, fostering meaningful interactions and potential collaborations with investors.
