Tennis player murder: Radhika's mother refuses to record official statement, say police
PTC News Desk: Following the arrest of Deepak Yadav for the murder of his daughter Radhika, the victim’s mother, Manju Yadav, has refused to register a formal statement to the police.
According to the police, Manju Yadav did not cooperate with the formal statement procedure. Police officials confirmed, “Radhika's mother, Manju Yadav, refused to record her statement with the police.”
During the interrogation, Radhika's mother said that she was unaware of the events as she had been unwell. “I had a fever and was resting in my room,” she told the police.
She maintained that she had no idea why Deepak committed the murder. “I don’t know why Deepak killed her,” Manju said.
The same day Radhika Yadav was murdered by her father Deepak Yadav, July 10 was also her mother Manju Yadav’s birthday. That morning, Radhika had gone into the kitchen to prepare something special for her mother when Deepak shot her three times.
Meanwhile police have said that they are investigating all the angles in the murder of tennis player including what her mother was doing when the incident occurred.
According to the police, accused Deepak fired at least five rounds of shots, three of which hit her at the back and she died on the spot. By the time she reached the hospital, the doctors declared her brought dead.
