Uttar Pradesh: 11 killed as car plunges into canal after loosing control in Gonda
PTC News Desk: At least eleven people killed and several others injured after a car carrying 15 passengers lost control and fell into a canal in Uttar Pradesh's Gonda district.
According to police, the passengers were returning from a temple visit when the accident occurred. Authorities have not yet confirmed the details and identities of the victims.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took stock of the situation and expressed his condolences to the bereaved families and also announced financial assistance.
"The loss of life in the unfortunate accident in the district of Gonda is extremely tragic and heart-wrenching. My condolences are with the grief-stricken families. Instructions have been given to provide financial assistance of Rs 05-05 lakh to the kin of those who lost their lives in this accident," the Chief Minister said.
The Chief Minister wished speedy recovery of the injured and also directed the officials to to ensure proper treatment.
