Weather Update: Light rain lashes the parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday evening, providing much-needed relief from blistering heat. According to IMD, Light rain along with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds will be witnessed over Punjab and Haryana from June 19-21.
Meanwhile, Himachal Pradesh will likely witness light rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds from June 19-23.
The temperature in Chandigarh on Thursday is 37.48 degrees Celsius. The day's forecast predicts a minimum temperature of 26.54 °C and a maximum temperature of 43.6 °C. The relative humidity is 22 percent, and the wind speed is 22 kilometres per hour.
The IMD predicts light to moderate rain and winds in various parts of Delhi NCR and surrounding regions on Thursday.
According to the most recent update, North Delhi, North-East Delhi, North-West Delhi, West Delhi, and Central Delhi are all expected to receive rain within the next two hours.
The weather department has also stated that neighbouring areas in Haryana, including Sonipat, Rohtak, and Kharkhoda, as well as Uttar Pradesh locations such as Bagpat, Khekra, Modinagar, and Pilakhua, will experience similar weather conditions.
