Navjot Singh Sidhu resignation: In a major development, Navjot Singh Sidhu on Tuesday resigned as the President of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee. Navjot Singh Sidhu, in his resignation to Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi, stated that "The collapse of a man's character stems from the compromise corner, I can never compromise on Punjab's future and the agenda for the welfare of Punjab." Will continue to serve the Congress," he added. Meanwhile, Captain Amarinder Singh said, "I told you so…he is not a stable man and not fit for the border state of Punjab." Amid Congress infighting, Navjot Singh Sidhu to meet Rahul Gandhi in Delhi tomorrow On the other hand, former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh is going to Delhi where is likely to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah. BJP leader Harjit Grewal confirmed the development and said that the meeting with Amit Shah is confirmed. This comes at a time when there are rumours that he is likely to join the Bharatiya Janata Party.
