Pakistan Reacts To Not Being Invited For Swearing in Ceremony
A day after the announcement of invitation to BIMSTEC countries leaders for the swearing in ceremony of PM Modi Pakistan has reacted to not being invited. Pakistan foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has stated that PM Modi’s entire focus during election campaigning stayed on criticising Pakistan. In a situation like this it won’t be wise to expect this narrative to be dismantled soon. He also added that rather than being invited to swearing in ceremony it would be better to be invited for a dialogue to resolve the Kashmir issue and other issues like Siachen and Sir Creek. The BIMSTEC is constituted of Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Bhutan and Nepal.
