Arvind Kejriwal finally breaks silence in Swati Maliwal assault case, says 'there are...'

New Delhi, May 22: For the first time, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal addressed the alleged assault case involving Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal and his aide, Bibhav Kumar, on Wednesday. He said, "I expect a fair investigation into the matter."

Speaking to a news agency, Arvind Kejriwal stressed the importance of impartiality, adding that the case was currently "sub-judice," and his comments could potentially influence the judicial process.

"However, I expect a fair investigation. Justice should be served. There are two versions of the incident. The police should investigate both versions impartially to ensure justice," Kejriwal said.

Swati Maliwal has accused Bibhav Kumar of brutally assaulting her, alleging that the attack continued even after she informed him that she was on her period. As a result of the assault, Swati Maliwal claimed her arms were sore, and she experienced difficulty walking.
