Speaking to mediapersons in Patiala, Nayab Singh Saini said the government had received a report regarding the matter and a detailed investigation was currently underway. He added that authorities were examining all aspects of the case to identify those responsible and determine the motive behind the alleged fabrication.

Responding to allegations raised by leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Saini rejected the claims as baseless. He said preliminary information suggested that the name of a laboratory in Haryana had been used in connection with the purported forensic report. Investigators are now verifying how the document was prepared and whether any individuals or organisations were involved in its circulation.
Saini said that anyone found responsible would face strict action in accordance with the law.
Addressing another issue linked to the controversy, Nayab Singh Saini said the BJP respects the traditions and teachings of Sikh Gurus and would never engage in politics that hurts religious sentiments or public faith.
