Ranjit Singh Chautala resigns as MLA after BJP names him candidate from Hisar

PTC News Desk: Haryana minister Ranjit Singh Chautala, who was named the BJP's candidate for the Hisar Lok Sabha seat after joining the party, resigned from the state assembly on Tuesday.

According to sources, the independent MLA from Rania in Sirsa district has submitted his resignation to the Haryana Assembly Speaker.


Chautala and former Congress MP Naveen Jindal joined the BJP on Sunday. Ranjit Chautala, an independent MLA, supported the BJP when it fell short of a majority following the 2019 assembly elections. He was later appointed as Minister of Power and Jails.
