6-month-old toddler strangled to death by maternal grandparents in Punjab's Jalandhar
PTC News Desk: In a shocking incident, a six-month-old toddler, Alija was strangled to death by her maternal grandparents in Punjab's Jalandhar district. The mother, despite being married for the third time fled away with her paramour.
The incident unfolded in village Dalla near Bhogpur in Jalandhar and later disposed off the body near Hoshiarpur's Tanda. The grandparents reportedly took such a drastic step on the behest of financial constraints.
Based on the statements of the toddler's father, Bhogpur police arrested the accused grandparents and registered a case against them.
