The SAD workers and party supporters have staged a protest outside the Mohali court as Bikram Singh Majithia is to appear before court in due course. The police officials have also detained Akali workers including Sarabjeet Singh Jhinjer.

In a scathing attack against his own government, AAP MLA Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh said, "when Majithia was in jail, the government did not interrogate him and he got bail. Now raids are being conducted at his residences and offices. Carrying out raids this early morning is against the policies."

In a dramatic escalation of the matter, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia issued a warning to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann while being taken out of his house in Amritsar after being arrested by the Vigilance Bureau Wednesday. “Dear Bhagwant Mann, cheekan terian vi kadhvaun (I will also make you scream),” Majithia said as officers escorted him out of his house.

Several party workers have gathered outside Majithia's residence to protest the arrest
Punjab Vigilance has taken senior SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia into custody following hours of raids and interrogation at his residence. He has been taken to an undisclosed location.
PTC News Desk: A team of Punjab vigilance conducted raids on the residence of senior SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia and former cabinet minister in Amritsar on Wednesday morning.
According to the reports, the agency conducted raids at Majithia's residence in Amritsar and Chandigarh. Among the sites searched were nine places in Amritsar, including the house of Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia.
The Vigilance Department has not officially disclosed the exact reason for the raid. Media personnel were allegedly prevented from entering the premises at the time of the raid.
Majithia has accused the Bhagwant Mann government of harassing him for speaking on issues concerning the people of the state.
“I had stated long ago that when the Bhagwant Mann government failed to find anything against me in the false drug case, they would eventually prepare another fabricated case. Today, a team led by the Vigilance SSP conducted a raid at my residence. Bhagwant Mann, understand this clearly — no matter how many FIRs you file, I will neither be intimidated nor will your government be able to silence my voice,” he said, adding that he will continue to speak on issues concerning Punjab. “I have complete faith in Akal Purakh and Guru Sahib. In the end, truth will prevail,” he stated on a social media post.
Meanwhile, Majithia’s wife Ganieve Kaur, who is also the Majitha MLA, accused the Vigilance officials of forcibly entering her house. “Around 30 people entered our house this morning. They pushed us and entered without our consent. This is our home. No official has the right to stop anyone (media persons) from entering or leaving,” she told reporters.
