Patiala, January 19: With Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra entering its last leg in Jammu and Kashmir, Former Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee chief Navjot Singh Sidhu’s release from Patiala Jail rumors are making political circles agog. 

If the sources are to be believed, former congress MLA is likely to walk free by end of January, getting relieved on Republic day.

 Speculations are that Sidhu is likely to join closing ceremony of Bharat Jodo Yatra. Meanwhile,Congress leader KC Venugopal had sent an invitation to Sidhu through a National Congress leader. A few days ago, Sidhu's wife Dr. Navjot Kaur Sidhu also participated in the Bharat Jodo Yatra on the invitation of KC Venugopal.

Reportedly, the time for the release of Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu in Punjab has been fixed at 7 pm on January 26. Significantly, due to good conduct, the name of Navjot Singh Sidhu has been kept in the list of 50 prisoners, who are to be released during the Amrit Mahotsav of India on 26 January 2023.
