Independence Day 2025: 16 Punjab Police personnel awarded President’s, Meritorious Service Medals
Chandigarh: The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has announced the list of awardees for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations, with 16 officials from the the Punjab Police receiving top honours.
According to the official notification, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Mohammad Faiyyaz Farooqui and Inspector Suresh Kumar have been awarded the President’s Medal for their distinguished service.
In addition, 14 officials from the Punjab Police have been honoured with the Police Medal for Meritorious Service. The awardees include:
Gurdial Singh (Inspector General), Gurpreet Singh (DSP), Jagdeep Singh, Tejinderpal Singh, Deepak Kumar, Satinder Kumar (Inspectors), Amrik Singh, Amritpal Singh, Anil Kumar, Sanjiv Kumar, Bhupinder Singh, Krishan Kumar (Sub-Inspectors), Jaswinderjit Singh and Kuldeep Singh (Assistant Sub-Inspectors)
The awards recognise the officials’ exceptional dedication, professionalism, and contributions to law enforcement in Punjab.
