Khadoor Sahib MP Amritpal Singh’s mother stopped at Delhi airport after 'lookout notice'
PTC Web Desk: Khadoor Sahib MP Amritpal Singh’s mother Balwinder Kaur was stopped by the immigration authorities at theDelhi airport on Friday moments before she was scheduled to board a flight to Canada. According to family members, she was informed at the airport that a lookout circular (LOC) had been issued against her by Amritsar Rural Police.
Balwinder, who reportedly had no prior knowledge of travel restrictions, arrived at the airport around noon for her 3.30 pm flight. Her trip was planned to visit her daughter in Canada, who recently gave birth.
On the same day, her husband Tarsem Singh travelled to Assam to meet Amritpal Singh at the Dibrugarh jail, where he has been lodged since his arrest under the National Security Act (NSA).
This is not the first instance of Amritpal Singh’s family facing travel restrictions. Earlier, his wife Kirandeep Kaur and his father were also stopped at airports due to similar alerts.
Amritpal Singh, who has been accused of involvement in activities deemed a threat to national security, contested the Lok Sabha Elections from jail and won the Khadoor Sahib seat as an Independent candidate with a historic margin.
