Punjab: AAP leader Anokh Mittal's wife brutally killed in a robbery bid in Ludhiana
PTC News Desk: In a shocking turn of events, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Anokh Mittal's wife Lipsi Mittal was brutally murdered by armed robbers on late Saturday night. The couple was attacked in Ludhiana's Dehlon area while they were returning from a dinner.
While AAP leader Anokh Mittal sustained severe injuries and currently undergoing treatment, his wife Lipsi Mittal couldn't survive the brutal attack and was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the police, the robbers fled the scene and took along couple's car and belonging including money and jewelry.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident. “We are investigating the incident from all angles and will take strict action against the perpetrators," a senior police official said.
Anokh Mittal joined the AAP about four months ago as he was inducted by MLA Ashok Parashar Pappi. He is a well-known businessman in Punjab and his involvement with AAP brought attention to the Mittals in business and political circles.
