Chandigarh, December 15: In view of soon approaching examination, Punjab education department has issued an order that prohibits teachers and non-teaching staff of the Punjab Education Department from taking child care leave and foreign leave from January to March.

In the Letter issued by the Director of Education Department, the director has written to the district education officers and school principals saying that "the time of the child's examinations is approaching and during this time teachers need to pay special attention to the education of children. The role of teaching by teachers Non-teaching staff is also very important in schools for completion.

Therefore, child care leave and foreign leave during the months of January, February and March should not be approved or recommended to be approved."

The director has also written that "If the child of an officer/employee is less than three years of age or is suffering from any serious illness, then in such circumstances, on the basis of the certificate/recommendation of the Civil Surgeon regarding child care leave and not to postpone it for foreign leave. In deserving circumstances, these vacations will be decided at the head office level."
