Punjab: Two foreign students killed in high-speed collision near Fatehgarh Sahib

PTC Web Desk: Two foreign students were killed after an overspeeding car collided with their bike near Amloh, Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab, on Monday. The accident took place near Desh Bhagat University late last evening. A footage shows the car dragging the bike for nearly 50 metre after the collision.

The deceased have been identified as Emmanuel Machirori and  and Tsepo Moses Masienyane,  both students of Desh Bhagat University. 


According to reports, the two students were riding a bike when the car, moving at high speed, struck them. The impact was so severe that they died on the spot. One student belonged to Zimbabwe and another from Lesotho.

Amloh SHO Balbir Singh confirmed that the car and the bike have been impounded, but the car’s driver fled the scene immediately after the accident. The police have launched a manhunt for the absconding driver.
