Rajvir Jawanda remains critical, requires prolong ventilator support; no significant improvement so far
PTC News Desk: Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda's condition remains critical even four days after he met with a serious accident on Saturday in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh.
According to the health bulletin issued by Fortis hospital in Mohali, he continues to remain on life support with critical neurological condition and minimal brain activity. No significant improvement has been recorded so far.
"Rajvir Jawanda continues to remain on life support at Fortis Hospital, Mohali. His neurological condition remains critical, with minimal brain activity and no significant improvement despite ongoing advanced medical management," the statement read.
The MRI scans have displayed hypoxic changes and extensive damage to the spine prompting health officials to provide prolong ventilator support.
It further added, "MRI scans of the brain have shown hypoxic changes, secondary to CPR administered at the primary centre. MRI of the spine has revealed extensive damage to the cervical and dorsal regions, resulting in profound weakness in all four limbs. He continues to require prolonged ventilator support."
The overall prognosis remains guarded.
Jawanda met with a serious accident on Sunday while he was travelling towards Shimla from Baddi. He sustained severe brain and spine injuries followed by multiple cardiac arrest. According to the doctors, he was brought to the Fortis Hospital, Mohali in 'extremely critical condition'.
While his condition remains serious with no substantial improvement, several other Punjabi singers have urged the people to pray for his speedy recovery.
