PTC Web Desk:  The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has once again asked media organisations and bloggers to avoid recording or conducting interviews inside the parikrama of Sri Harmandir Sahib in Amritsar.

SGPC chief secretary Kulwant Singh Mannan said such activities disturb the spiritual atmosphere of the gurdwara. He added that lakhs of devotees visit the gurdwara every day, and maintaining religious decorum is essential.

He reminded that clear directives have already been issued by Sri Akal Takht Sahib. These directions strictly prohibit any kind of recording within the parikrama.

The SGPC official advised mediapersons to take public reactions only at designated places outside the shrine. He stressed that discipline must be maintained inside the complex.

The SGPC also expressed concern over a recent incident. A private channel reportedly questioned sewadars after being stopped from recording inside the premises. The committee termed such behaviour inappropriate.

He further cautioned against the misuse of Artificial Intelligence. He said creating or sharing objectionable content related to Sikh Gurus, religious symbols or the gurdwara is unacceptable.

The SGPC appealed to the public to act responsibly. It urged people to report such content instead of circulating it.
