Sidhu Moosewala murder case: US detains arms dealer linked to weapons supplier

Sidhu Moosewala murder case: A significant breakthrough has occurred in the murder case of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, as a sought-after international arms dealer has been apprehended by US authorities, according to sources.

Dharmanjot Singh Kahlon, the detained individual, was captured in California and is closely affiliated with criminals Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi, as per sources.

Both Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi are implicated in the murder case. While Brar is suspected to be in hiding within Canada, Bishnoi is incarcerated at Bathinda Central Jail. Kahlon is alleged to have supplied the weapons employed by Goldy Brar in the murder of Sidhu Moosewala.

Sidhu Moosewala, aged 28, was fatally shot on May 29 of the previous year in Mansa, Punjab, shortly after the state administration had scaled back his security coverage.

Authorities are anticipated to liaise with the FBI to facilitate Kahlon's extradition to India, as indicated by sources within security agencies. Hailing from Amritsar, Punjab, the arms dealer stands accused of smuggling AK-47 rifles and other advanced weaponry.

The accused is wanted in connection with a case registered under the stringent Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), and a lookout notice had already been issued. The Delhi Police's Special Cell, along with the Punjab Police and the National Investigation Agency (NIA), had been on the trail of Kahlon.

Gangster Sachin Bishnoi revealed to the Counter Intelligence Unit that the detained arms dealer in the US had supplied weapons to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Kahlon, who had been evading capture in the US, had links with gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuriya, who facilitated connections with Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, according to sources. Kahlon was responsible for arming both Lawrence Bishnoi's and Bambiha gangs.

Sachin Bishnoi, himself a suspect in the murder case, was recently extradited to India from Azerbaijan. Sachin is related to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
