PTC Web Desk: At least four persons were killed and one sustained critical injuries after a car collided with a Punjab Roadways bus on the Dasuya–Hoshiarpur road near Adda Dosarka early Saturday morning.

According to police officials, the accident occurred around 6 am when a car carrying five occupants attempted to enter the main road amid dense fog. The vehicle was hit by a Pathankot depot bus travelling from Dasuya to Hoshiarpur, leading to a devastating impact.

The collision was so severe that the car was completely mangled, resulting in the deaths of four occupants on the spot. The deceased have been identified as Sukhwinder Singh (45), Sushil Kumar (46), Brij Kumar (38), and Arun Kumar (45), all residents of village Chalet in Daulatpur area of Himachal Pradesh. The injured person, identified as Amrit Kumar, was rushed to the civil hospital, where his condition is stated to be critical.

The police said Sukhwinder Singh was taking his son Amrit, who was scheduled to travel abroad, to the Amritsar airport. Three other family members and a friend were also travelling in the car at the time of the accident.

The bodies were sent to the civil hospital for post-mortem examination.

Preliminary investigations suggest that poor visibility due to dense fog was the primary cause of the accident. Further inquiry is underway, the police added.
