Punjab Assembly Winter Session: Second day of Vidhan Sabha session set to be stormy
Punjab Vidhan Sabha’s two-day Winter Session, second day is expected to be a stormy for the present Congress government as the major opposition parties Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) is all set to corner government on various issues.
While the Opposition, the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) will raise the issue of sugarcane growers.The SAD , additionally, will raise the issue of SSA,RMSA teachers and farmer issues.
On the last day, session comprising of total two sittings will pass few significant bills which includes the Punjab Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Ordinance-2018.
Also, a bill to increase a total parole of prisoners with good conduct from 12 weeks to 16 weeks during a calendar year will also be tabled.
