Punjab CM Channi opens digital healthcare facility in Mohali
Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi inaugurated Gini Health, a digital healthcare facility, in Mohali on Sunday.
Lauding the efforts of Sarvjeet Singh Virk, founder of Finvasia, and Gurjot Singh Narwal, CEO, Gini Health, for their innovative customised healthcare solutions, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi said the technology had made remote monitoring of health parameters possible.

Dr Anil Bhansali, Director of Gini Health, who retired as an endocrinologist from the PGI, said technological revolution had enabled them them to monitor a patient’s lifestyle and activities remotely with the help of devices that provided effective insight in diagnosing the problem.
Punjab CM Channi was apprised of a mobile technology that transfers real-time data of blood glucose from a device fitted in the arm to the cellphone through the NFC technology so that one could decide his food intake accordingly.
On this occasion, a similar device was also installed at the biceps of the Punjab Chief Minister.

Gurjot Singh Narwal said under this project, a potentially investment of up to Rs 100 crore would be made within the next three years and Rs 350 crore in the next five to seven years. It would provide employment opportunities to over 500 persons, besides bringing global standard of quality and care in the health industry of Punjab.
Among those present at the launch of Gini Health were former minister Balbir Singh Sidhu and working president, PPCC, Kuljit Singh Nagra.
