Punjab: Mohali's Hasleen wins laurels in Canada; bags scholarship at Toronto University
Mohali, September 15: Fact that Punjab students try their level hard to migrate abroad for better education, lifestyle is not unknown. Few of them usually burn a huge hole in their pockets to move abroad, especially Canada which has been one of the very popular destinations among the students of Punjab for a long time now.

But the story that we are bringing to you, of a young, merely 19 year old Hasleen Kaur who hails from Punjab’s Mohali will make you swell with pride.
Hasleen Kaur of Mohali's Jangpura has brought glory to Punjab by winning a laurel that many would have only dreamt of. This young teenager has won a scholarship worth 3.5 crores at Toronto University of Canada and has also been nominated for Pearson International Award.
She got her first recognition when she was only 13. Yes, she was only 13-year-old when her first book was published.
Her villagers celebrated her latest achievement by honoring the Shishu Niketan School, where Hasleen used to study as a kid.
Hasleen’s proud father while commenting about his daughter’s achievement said, “May Punjab be blessed with more such daughters who bring honour to family and state.”
Reportedly, 19-year-old Hasleen Kaur is currently pursuing her higher studies in Canada.
