Alarming! Punjab reports biggest spike of coronavirus cases; tally crosses 74,000-mark

The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 74,616 after the state reported the biggest single-day spike of coronavirus cases on Friday. According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department on Friday, the state reported 2,526 new cases. Among the new cases, Ludhiana reported 186 new cases, Jalandhar reported 326, Patiala 315, Amritsar 181, SAS Nagar 262, Bathinda 116, Gurdaspur 237, Sangrur 64, Hoshiarpur 161, Ferozepur 72, Pathankot 61, Faridkot 58, Moga 37, Kapurthala 166, Muktsar 59, Barnala 28, Fatehgarh Sahib 25, Fazilka 50, Ropar 28, Tarn Taran 17, Mansa 61 and SBS Nagar 16. Punjab reported 63 new deaths taking the death toll to 2,212. Among the new deaths, Amritsar reported 3, Bathinda 7, Faridkot 1, Ferozepur 1, Gurdaspur 3, Hoshiarpur 5, Jalandhar 8, Ludhiana 12, SAS Nagar 1, Muktsar 3, Moga 1, Pathankot 3, Patiala 7, Sangrur 4, and Tarn Taran 4.
