Punjab University student Elections 2017: NSUI president wins hearts and votes !

The National Students Union of India (NSUI) won president, vice-president and secretary positions in Panjab University Campus Students' Council elections. While PUSU won the position of Joint secretary in PU Student Election 2017! NSUI wins with a close sweep! Coming back after 3 years, NSUI is all set to win hearts of thousands! HSA himso GGSU PFS supported NSUI  unconditionally this time. NSUI was in power in 2013 last, with absolutely no alliance. The elections were held for the posts of president, vice-president, secretary and joint secretary of the Panjab University Campus Students Council (PUCSC) and other campuses. All candidates stood strong with their own ambitions to upgrade the college or add more for the students. NOTA (none of the above) was also an option among others in the elections this Year. Results:   Panjab University: NSUI wins leading with 162 votes in Panjab University students' election. For president post at Panjab University, NSUI-954, SFS-792 and PUSU-500. Panjab University: NSUI leading by 169 votes for presidential position and VP by 270 votes. PUSU leading in joint secretary post by 153 votes Karan from PUSU 2796 alliance defeated Ijjya Singh from NSUI got 2268 Joint secretary - Karan randhawa wins from PUSU with 2808 votes General secretary - Vani Sood NSUI 2211 DAV Sector 10: Vikas, who represented HSA, HPSU and NSUI, wins presidential post. SD College, Sector 32: Harsh Sharma of SDCU, contesting for president post, wins; Harsh got 1,773 votes, his opponent Dilpreet of SOI alliance got 1,380 votes. 46.7 per cent vote cast was registered in SD College. Out of 6,750 students, only 3,153 voted SGGSU, Sector 26:  Sukhvir Singh wins president election. He got 1,381 votes, Tasneem Kaur polled 1,218 votes MCM DAV, Sector 36: Suchint Kapoor wins president election; Himani Sharma is vice-president; Bahar Hundal is secretary and Shweta is joint secretary.
